In this application, you’ll actually build something that helps deaf people to communicate…, it’s a Sign language recognition application. But it’s not just a hand sign recognition model, it’s a lot more than that. The application takes into account the full-body movement of a person to aid in the recognition and works in Real-time. Now this is something pretty cool.
So to achieve this, you’ll be using a CNN landmark detector to extract body, hand, and face landmark points. Then you’ll use these landmarks to train a custom LSTM model. This combination of CNN+LSTM, will be the foundation of creating this whole application.
